Cat/Dog Adoption Drives & Other Pet Events in December 2019

December is a time of festive celebrations. There are several Christmas-themed pet events and adoption drives you can go to to end the year off with a bang.

SOSD Adoption Drive at Greenwich V Mall (1 Dec 2019)

SOSD is an organisation that focuses on rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned and stray dogs, mostly Singapore Specials.

They will be holding an adoption drive at Greenwich V Mall on 1 Dec 2019. Before going, you might want to check out their website to see the SOSD dogs up for adoption.

Three Buns at Quayside Isle 1st Anniversary (1 Dec 2019)

Three Buns Quayside Isle is turning 1! They are having a Best Dressed Dog Contest on Instagram from 2 Dec to 5 Dec and the winners will be announced on Instagram on 6 Dec 2019.

On 1 December from 11am to 6pm, you are welcome to bring your doggies to Three Buns Quayside 1st Anniversary Party to receive a free instant polaroid picture to be entered in the contest.

The best dressed puppy of the day at the restaurant gets a complimentary meal for four (for their human family)!

Christmas with Dogs at SMU (7 Dec 2019)

Organised by SMU Paws, Christmas with Dogs 2019 is an event held on campus near Li Ka Shing Library. Their tagline this year is “Animals are not presents”, which is something that we think should be obvious but unfortunately isn’t.

There will be various workshops where you can get close to shelter dogs and learn about animal adoption in Singapore.

A Furry White Christmas (14 Dec 2019)

Pets Magazine is organising a Furry White Christmas event that  The event costs $17 per person and $7 per pet. For hoomans, the ticket price entitles you to a goodie bag worth $25, a seat meal worth $17 and a drink.

Santa Paws Chapter 2 at Scape (14 Dec 2019)

This is a part two of the Santa Paws event, a special campaign launched to bring back the true spirit of Christmas. There will be a “Pawer Christmas Tree” where you can help to decorate by buying Bark Ornaments ($5, $10 or $15).

Pets’ Day Out at Hort Park (21 Dec 2019)

Pets’ Day Out is a monthly event that happens at Hort Park. It happens concurrently with Gardeners’ Day Out, which is an event where you can get free garden tours, gardening tips and buy handicrafts. It’s a great occasion for adults, children and pets alike to come and explore the gardens and run about too.

December’s Pets’ Day Out will be Christmas-themed, so expect fun booths where you can shop for tasty treats, pet accessories and see little cute birds on display. You can also get your pets’ health checked out and attend micro-chipping sessions (registration required, opens in December).

If you have adopted a Singapore Special or successfully adopted a pet from the Pet Adoption Drive, you can get free gift packs from various booths.
